Why we exist
Searching a founder's name rarely gives you an answer. It gives you old headlines, forum arguments and automated risk scores, stacked in whatever order an algorithm chose. Somewhere in that pile is the actual record: what a court found, what a regulator did, who owned a company when it failed. Our job is to dig that out and state it clearly, so a reader does not have to reconstruct it from noise.
How we work
We follow a fixed method, described in how we check, and a strict source policy that puts courts, regulators and filings ahead of commentary and treats risk-score sites as leads rather than findings. We rate claims, not people, because most real records are mixed. And we pay close attention to dates, because a company's failure often belongs to whoever controlled it at the time, not to the person who founded it years earlier.
Independence
FounderCheck takes no payment from the people or companies it checks and runs no sponsored verdicts. Ratings reflect the public record at the time of writing and are updated when that record changes.
